Ian Macdonald (experienced solicitor) facilitates regular casework support meetings for financial counsellors and DCP staff. These meetings span over 2 hours for up to 10 people. Examples of topics that have been presented include: the “Credit Code” and “Important legislation changes”. Ian presents the information he has developed and can answer queries by attendees pertinent to their own cases/general questions. Due to the small number of people in the meetings Ian is able to provide more individual support than would be possible in a larger group. Ian also distributes written material regarding the presented topic, and these are also posted on this website under “Legal Papers”.
The meetings are primarily held on Wednesday mornings between 9.30 and 11.30. Details of upcoming topics are distributed regularly by e-mail.

Ian Macdonald is also available to counsellors and DCP staff by phone for legal advice, casework support and is sometimes able to provide assistance with written material related to individual cases. Ian is a lawyer with specialist knowledge in credit and debt issues.
